Prince Charles has opened another one of his organic produce shops, this one located in Bath, Somerset. The Highgrove store sells both organic food and lifestyle products and is named after the Prince’s home in Gloucestershire.
The majority of goods in the store are created by British artisan manufacturers and craftsmen and profits from sales are donated to the Prince’s Charities Foundation.
Besides opening the store, Prince Charles was also scheduled to give a lecture on the environment.
Prince Charles is a major supporter of organics, and has stated in interviews he believes the benefits of such goods outweigh the costs when it comes to savings from health related expenses.

Comments Off on James Beard Would Be Proud Of Vegan Creations At James Beard House

James Beard
The vegan dinner prepared by the Horizon’s chef at the The Beard House of the James Beard Foundation was a hit, according to blogger at green gossip site Ecorazzi.
“…a shallow bowl of mustard croutons and upland cress was filled with warm, savory Sunchoke and Horseradish Bisque. Paired nicely with a 2008 Pfaffenheim Pinot Blanc, I’m quite sure nobody noticed the lack of shellfish or heavy cream. Yes, it was the kind of soup that could make even the most humble vegan quietly whisper, “I told you so.””
Ecorazzi then goes on the question what Beard would have thought of the vegan feast, concluding he would have been impressed. Vegan food is usually the most sustainable out there, and according to some sources, it would have aligned well with Beard’s ethics.

The fact that Lea Michele calls herself a vegan, but still occasionally eats fish does annoy. After all, we’re only asking that she use to word pescatarian and avoid the Eco-Worst ones.
However, the Glee actress doesn’t consume Charlie without guilt, as Ok! magazine reported her as saying, “I feel bad about it because fish are animals too.”
Michele has previously stated the reason for her fishy breath was due to protein issues, but we can mouth off several dozen that don’t swim.
Any suggestions?

Comments Off on “Big Brother” Sunshine Adds Vegan Items To House Grocery List

Big Brother 11 has just started and the vegan in the bunch is already encountering resistance.
Yvette, the medical student who prefers her stripper-like name of Sunshine, immediately has realized there are no good vegan food options and requested a talk with Big Brother in the Diary Room, where all the contestants spill their hearts out over what they need to survive with the other weirdos in the house.
At first, Big Brother denied Sunshine from entering.
Was he/she not ready to listen to the list of soy milk, seaweed and tofu requests?
After some time, Sunshine finally talks to Big Brother to voice her concerns and she is even making updates to the grocery list to include items she can sustain on.
So far, so good. More updates to come.

Cook To Bang
A new cookbook has provided recipes for men and women to feed their date that are supposed to almost guarantee a good night–and a good morning.
Cook to Bang: The Lay Cook’s Guide to Getting Laid is a humorous cookbook by Spencer Walker who maintains a website with the same name. Featuring recipe titles such as “Tap That Ass-paragus Soup,” Cook To Bang is pretty much self-explanatory in what a potential chef’s goals are from picking up a copy of the book. Better yet, from the reviews of the cookbook, Cook To Bang may be a handy guide for the vegetarian and vegan players.
“I felt inclined to comment on how COOK TO BANG helped a girl out. I am in a relationship with a great guy, but I never knew how to get some serious morning action. Thanks to Sex Crazy Mofo Tofu Scramble, my boyfriend went all sex crazy after breakfast… Cook to Bang works for girls too.” –MADELINE IN LOS ANGELES
