Meatless Mouthful–Morrissey Walked Out On Meat Eating Date

Written by Vegetarian Star on Wednesday, October 30th, 2013 in Food & Drink, Male Singers, Meatless Mouthful.

Morrissey

“As his food order arrives I stare intently at what appears to be a sloppy dish of dog food on his plate. … I therefore automatically stand up and walk out of the restaurant. Suddenly you come to a certain situation and you are unable to live with it, and the only protest you can make on behalf of the butchered animal is to depart the scene.”

Morrissey, from his latest autobiography about his life, music and love for animals. He and his date eventually reunited and reportedly stayed together for at least two years so the singer probably gained plenty of experience teaching the virtues of animal rights and plant-based eating.

Staying Fit is Lesson #3, and he also advises to, “learn as much as you can about what food choices are better for you…People who know the most about nutrition almost always eat better.”
