Cory Booker has proved that Democrats and Republicans can get along and work together — from the Congressional floor to the dinner table.

He met with Republican senator Ted Cruz over a meal to discuss some of the more pressing issues facing the nation, particularly the economy.

If the two agreed on anything, at least it was where to eat that day.

“First of all, he’s a Texas meat-eating cowboy, I’m a Jersey boy, vegetarian, so choosing the restaurant alone,” Booker said to “Good Day New York” about the experience.
