Out of all the slogans the company could create for itself, the last one that suits it would be one inviting passengers to “fly the veggie skies.”

Mayim Bialik and several other celebrities have congratulated a public school in New York for putting healthy and plant-based options on the school cafeteria menu.

The The Active Learning Academy PS 244Q in Queens, N.Y. received a letter from Bialik and No Doubt’s Tony Kanal for which praised it for its food options, which won it the 2013 Golden Carrot Award.

Mayim's Vegan Table

Mayim Bialik has given fans a sneak preview of her new cookbook, Mayim’s Vegan Table.

The book, which will be available in February 2014, features 100 of Bialik’s favorite plant-based recipes, many based on traditional Jewish dishes she’s featured on Kveller.com.

“The fear people have of weird dry crumbly gross vegan food us not a reality, and as the cook and restaurant industry have been reflecting, if done right, vegan food can be fantastic,” Bialik told readers at Shalom Life.
