Comments Off on Jaime King Gets Obsessed With Vegan Obsessive Compulsive Lip Gloss
Hart of Dixie actress Jaime King has lightened up her beauty regime a bit after announcing the pregnancy of her child.
“I’ve been trying to avoid wearing any makeup unless I absolutely have to,” King told InStyle.com.
When she does want a little color to accent her natural beauty, King reaches for a pink lip gloss from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, a line created by David Klasfeld, who was obsessed with producing cosmetics with the most quality ingredients.
Comments Off on Nikki Dinki Half Vegetarian Burger On “Food Network Star”
Nikki Dinki walked onto the set of Food Network Star and announced her flexitarian eating plan of “meat on the side,” as part of her quest to get people to eat more plants.
While no vegan or vegetarian will ever condemn someone for encouraging the consumption of less meat, Dinki’s most recent creation on the network reality TV show probably isn’t what most want the term “plant-based” to be associated with.
Dinki wanted to impress with her half vegetarian burger, a burger made with both meat and vegetables.
Comments Off on Liev Schreiber Pastrami Bonanza Was A Bunch Of Baloney
In Ray Donovan, a new television series starring Liev Schreiber that premieres on June 30, Schreiber plays the brother who compensates for his less than stellar boxing skills at the gym by taking out the “problems” of the rich and famous in the ring of the crooked underworld.
Schreiber can be seen in some serious fighter poses at Vulture, but if his character eats anything like he does in real life, it’s easy to see how it’s hard for him to score a TKO.
Comments Off on Meatless Monday Recipe–Yeojin Bae Bibimbab
Yeojin Bae knows vegetarian food is always in season.
The Korean born Australian women’s fashion designer who has been featured in high end publications such as Nylon, Russh, US Harpers, US Elle, Harpers Bazaar Dubai, Australian Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and Marie Claire has a recipe for a more cruelty-free version of the classic Korean dish bibimbap.
In addition to the organic vegetables Bae uses, she places two eggs sourced from hens that get a little more breathing and walking room than others.
Nina Dobrev made the confession to Seventeen Magazine awhile back that her previous several month vegetarian diet stint was terminated when she thought she was getting too thin.
“At the end of last year, I tried being a vegetarian for four months, and after awhile, I started feeling weak, like I needed more protein, more energy,” Dobrev said.
Now she’s back to eating more like a vegan again and has found extra energy through invigorating exercise like yoga.
“I’m not officially a vegan, but I mainly eat vegan food,” she added.
Comments Off on Ina Garten Baked Sweet Potato Fries–“Barefoot Contessa: Back To Basics”
Ina Garten has not always been recognized as the kitchen diva of healthy cooking.
Her cookbook, Barefoot Contessa: How Easy is That? was chosen as one of the worst for health by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a group that advocates a plant-based diet for health.
But Garten does have her healthy moments, like she had when she created her baked sweet potato fries.
Mark Bittman was a guest on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to discuss his latest book, VB6: Eat Vegan Before Six, and his self-made flexitarian eating plan behind the book’s guidelines.
Eating vegan or almost vegan isn’t just a matter of taste or preference, according to Bittman.
