On Saturday, March 28th at 8:30 PM, Earth Hour will take place.
People all around the world will turn off their lights for an hour, taking a stand for reducing carbon emissions.
If you plan to turn your lights out, why not invite Radiohead’s vegan Thom Yorke to spend time in the dark with you? Musically, that is. Don’t know what you were thinking.

Other green musicians on the list include pescetarian KT Tunstall, who hangs out in her green designed home when she’s not on the road, and the Beastie Boys, who use biofuel on tour and participate in cell phone recycling programs.
Comments Off on Russell Brand To Have Hot, Veggie Date With Lisa Simpson?
Executive producers of The Simpsons, James L Brooks and Al Jean, would like to write comedian and actor Russell Brand in the cartoon show.
Al Jean said Brand was “very funny”, and added, “I would definitely be interested in writing an episode around him.”
In addition to Brand, Brooks and Jean want President Obama too.
We’re thinking Brand could have a date with Lisa Simpson.
After all, they both follow the same diet, and Brand wouldn’t be the first vegetarian celebrity Lisa meets on the show while dodging Homer’s love for lamb chops.
But did you know most of her models are too. From Sbsnyc:

Pure coincidence? Or does Evelina seek out employees that practice what she preaches?
One such place is Curly’s, which makes sense, considering Travis says he’s been a vegetarian for the past 5 years.
Another joint you might find him in is City Crab. And when asked the reason he frequented there, his reply was, “I go to eat crab legs, bro. Copious and disgusting amounts of it.”
Is Travis one of those crabby pescetarians?
Now granted, Travis is known for his bizarre humor, as he once said hislast meal on earth would be a dinosaur burger to compensate for the fact that he’s been abstaining from meat for so long.
And it’s kind of strange he would mention both a vegetarian and seafood restaurant as two of his faves.

Finally, relax in the knowledge that no one eats in a restaurant merely sponsored by a non-famous civilian dum-di-dum with a piffling passion for food but with no actual history for paparazzi-titillating behaviour. Smile gamely when asked if you intend to throw a glass of water over the heads of hostile food critics.”
Safe to say the UK Guardian isn’t cheering for Heather’s new unfishy restaurant. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But we gotta check the Guardian on their facts. Linda McCartney was vegetarian, not vegan.
Comments Off on Tim Gunn Gives Thoughts On Cat Hurling Kenley Collins
As we told you earlier, Project Runway finalist Kenley Collins was recently charged with assault after she threw a series of items, including a poor cat, at her fiance’s head while he was sleeping.
Tim Gunn of Project Runway shared his thoughts on the matter. Apparently Collins had a history of getting into “cat fights” on Project Runway with other contestants and judge Heidi Klum. Gunn reveals on the television show “Apt. 34” that the clips were edited to make her look better.
“If the audience saw and heard as much of Kenley as I did, people would have turned their televisions off.”
Damn Tim. Tell it like it is!
Seriously, the story is quite sad and we’re hoping Collins get the anger management help she needs to avoid abusing any beings, animals or humans, in the future.
Hey all you vegetarian vampire fans. The Twilight DVD has recently come out and if you have what they call OCD, or “Obsessive Cullen Disorder,” you’ll be checking out the DVD’s extras, such as the watching the movie with commentary by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and directorCatherine Hardwicke.
During such commentary, the group starts talking about the shot where Bella is eating a vegetarian burger at the diner with her dad. Rob mentions he was talking about veggie burgers with Hayley Williams, singer from the band Paramore, that has a couple of songs on the soundtrack.
Hayley mentioned Gardenburgers, and Rob says he’d never heard of a veggie burger being called a “garden burger.”
Director Catherine Hardwicke says that a “garden burger” is a little more elegant way of saying veggie burger. To which Rob replies, “I think a veggie burger is much nicer. It sounds much more appealing. Garden burger sounds like something you found in the garden.”
Aw, did Rob just diss Gardenburgers without even knowing it?
If you know Gardenburger, you know they have a plethora of veggie patties, from Flamed-Grilled to Black Bean Chipotle to Garden Vegan. And you know they don’t taste like dirt!
We’ll have to educate Rob on Gardenburgers some day.
