KJ Noons thinks animal abusers should throw a punch at him instead and see how they fare.
The Strikeforce MMA fighter and pro boxer has posed in this PETA ad against animal cruelty that reads, “Pick on someone your own size. Report animal abuse immediately.”
In an interview with the group, Noons said, “If you see an abused animal, think of it if it was your dog or your cat and how that would make you feel, you know, so you should feel that about every type of animal that’s abused.”

The Food Network show Cupcake Wars recently featured Sugar Cupcakery bakery (say it fast three times) in a competition between owner Karla Jennings and bakers from Orlando and Los Angeles to create sweets for George Lopez‘s golf tournament.
Sugar Cupcakery has a dozen or so vegan versions to their cupcakes, including the Tiramasu, Carrot, Grapefruit, Lemon Raspberry, Coconut Lime and more. And at Sugar Cupcakery, you can have your tea and eat it too, as the Earl Gray is infused with the flavorings of the beverage.

Paul McCartney was one of at least two vegetarian performers at the Isle of Wight festival in the United Kingdom, along with singer Pink.
McCartney was said to have brought along his veggie catering staff, which cooked up meals for him and the crew using local ingredients.
The Isle of Wight Festival was awarded The Greener Festival Award in 2009, and this year encouraged its fans to use public transportation, bike or carpool to the festivities.

More fabulous photos from Russell Simmons day at Millions of Milkshakes where he whipped up a vegan Oreo milkshake that will benefit NOH8 this week. The shake contains Oreo cookies, vegan vanilla ice cream, soy milk and chocolate powder. It does not contain milk, cream or any other dairy products or eggs, however, so it’s just as compassionate to animals as it is to Russell matching all sales of the shake this week to the GLBT awareness charity.

Russell Simmons unveiled his new, all-vegan milkshake at the Millions of Milkshakes restaurant in Los Angeles, California for the 40th LA Pride Anniversary in West Hollywood. Being the philanthropist he is and working with so many charities in the past, it’s no surprise that sales of Russell’s shake benefits a foundation.
“The proceeds of every shake that we sell this week will be donated to the NOH8 foundation and I will personally match that amount with a donation,” Russell told Star.

Ashley Judd‘s personal chef, Cathy Lewis, shared Judd’s favorite salad, a combination of roasted beets, Heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers and greens topped with raspberries and walnuts plus a recipe for scones and strawberry shortcake for dessert.
For the dressing, Lewis chose a White Balsamic and Basil Vinaigrette.
Lewis is a regular at local farmers markets, both for herself and the Judd family.
