Kelis doesn’t win any popularity points among vegetarians and animal activists for a whole bunch of reasons, specifically, having no problems wearing fur on her head. But it’s interesting to know that this PETA hater who calls herself “the biggest carnivore” grew up with a father who preferred tofu to tilapia.
“I guess he wanted me to be too,” Kelis says in The Guardian about her strict vegetarian father, “but my grandmother gave me a chicken doner and it was all over – I became a meat-eater, full-on. Zero guilt. My last supper would be a charcuterie smorgasbord with every kind of meat, and sauces to dip them in. When I get through this album’s cycle I want to develop a Kelis sauce range. I’m a saucy saucier.”
McCartney said, “It’s time to end the cruel slaughter of whales and leave these magnificent creatures alone. In the 21st century how can we even contemplate killing whales – or any animal – in such barbaric ways? Governments should act on their responsibilities and protect these beautiful creatures.”

Seth Rogen narrated the children’s story, The Story of Ferdinand, better known as Ferdinand the Bull, as the Salastina Music Society performed a composition by Alan Ridout at the Salastina Music Society debut concert.
Originally published in the 1930s, The Story of Ferdinand tells of a happy go lucky, passive bull who would rather be enjoying nature than fighting with other animals or partaking in bullfights.

Martha Stewart Clean Glass Cleaner
So Martha Stewart‘s line of cleaning products made from plants, minerals and containing no animal by-products or testing may have taken a publicity knock after Consumer Reports said the laundry detergent cleaned no better than plain water.
However, a Post -Gazette writer is reporting trying 6 of 10 Martha Stewart Cleaning Products other than the detergent and being pleased with the results, especially the glass cleaner.
“The glass and mirror cleaner was the best I have ever used. It left them streak-free, and my cleaning cloth had black dirt on it (I had just done the windows two weeks earlier with another green product.) Once I had done a few windows, I saw how dirty they were and had to tackle the rest.”

Jane Lynch, who plays the cunning and caustic cheerleading coach on the Fox television series Glee, would rather beat the crap out of Vocal Adrenaline than an animal.
Her character, Sue Sylvester, had a few lines on the Mash Up episode that originally threatened Glee coach Will Schuester by letting him bond with a cat before ending its life.
Um, yeah, even if this is television, that doesn’t belong in any conversation.
“I’m not going to say that,” Lynch said of her lines. “I work for PETA. I can’t say kill the cat.”
The script was changed to reflect adopting an animal from a shelter and punching Schuester instead. Nice work!
“I’ll need to see the set list for sectionals, after all. I want them on my desk warm from the laminator at 5 p.m. If it is one minute late, I will go to the animal shelter and get you a kitty cat. I will let you fall in love with that kitty cat. And then on some dark, cold night, I will steal away into your home and punch you in the face.”

Jonathan Safran Foer has an interview with Good.is where he recalls a recent poll he read that discovered most people are willing for fork over extra dough for what goes on their fork.
“I just read a recent poll that 70 percent of Americans are willing to spend more money for more ethically produced food. This isn’t San Francisco or New York; it’s the whole country. That’s an amazing number. People care about this stuff.”
The study, more than likely is from the national survey conducted by Context Marketing, which not only found 7 out of 10 people willing to pay more for ethical food, but 70% believe it’s better for the environment, 60% believe it’s healthier and 58% believe it’s safer to consume.
“I travel with him because he enjoys other cultures and people. He is fascinated about learning, well – everything!”
