“Before I became a vegetarian I was a huge hamburger fan. It’s not quite the national food of Canada (that would be beer, or maybe poutine, but probably beer) but hamburgers are for everyone, even us. Then, after I gave up meat, I became a huge veggie burger fan and that’s when I had my revelation: it wasn’t the meat that mattered to me. From where I was eating, the hamburger was simply a delivery device for condiments and lettuce and onions and cheese and tomatoes and bread. Those wan soy patties fell into the background and all those condiments, that turned out to be my true love, rushed to the fore.”

AAA Publishes Top Vegetarian Restaurant Picks

AAA, one of North America’s largest motoring and leisure travel organizations, has compiled its list of top-rated vegetarian-friendly restaurants across the United States. Based on a poll from its professional inspectors, AAA applied its famous 3-diamond rating system and named its 13 top picks for eating veg on the road (if you’re not lucky enough to be a local in the city).

Bialik hates gossip, so she should probably wouldn’t be happy to know we like to talk about everything vegan in her life like her vegan pediatrician for her son Miles or her double chocolate brownies recipe.

Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev went vegetarian for a few months. Then she became weak, tired (yawn, how many times have you heard this line) and decided she needed beef.
