Fox News simply puts one of them in the category of “9 Athletes on Weird Diets,” but you may be pleasantly surprised to hear there are several potential Olympian champions who follow a vegetarian or mostly plant-based diet.

Gulf News profiles several Olympic athletes and their food regimes. Those who power up with plants include USA Swimmer Garrett Weber-Gale and USA Marathon Runner Michael Arstein.

Target’s newest opening in downtown Chicago will feature a Pret A Manger, a small chain of nationally recognize restaurants that serve natural foods.

More prominent in the UK, Pret A Manger stores feature an in-house kitchen and bakery and a fresh selection of daily soups, salads, sandwiches and more.

A few of the vegetarian items listed on Chicago’s menu include Falafel, Avocado and Pine Nut Wrap and several fruit salads.
