Writer of the comedy series Lynn Shelton says the scene was inspired by her real life attempt to create an egg-free version of the fluffy flapjack, the kindest words that could be used to describe them being “glue.”

“I would tell her to read about what she’s doing and putting into her body. True education will only protect you and it’s important to learn about what you’re eating, wearing, etc. I think it’s important to know that our decisions affect animals. Then, people can make intelligent decisions and know there are intelligent alternatives out there.”

If you’re like most people, bugs bug you.

Not that you don’t love them. Not that you won’t fiercely campaign to protect their habitats and all, especially when they are being threatened by even bigger, nastier bugs like deforestation and harmful chemical pesticides.
