Liberty Lord Phoenix Has Eco-Friendly Home Supply Store

Although not as active in the film industry as her siblings, Liberty Lord Phoenix (shown on left), sister of Joaquin Phoenix, has film credits from the 80s, including Kate’s Secret and Seven Brides For Seven Brothers.
Not that she would have time for that anyway, as this lady has just celebrated the second anniversary of her business, Indigo Green Store in Gainesville, Florida. Her store specializes in environmentally friendly and non-toxic building and home supplies and gifts.
Indigo’s shelves are stocked with eco-friendly products from natural based cleaners to bamboo flooring
Liberty credits her parents for her success and awareness of what it means to be a responsible citizen of the planet.
“Both of my parents raised me vegan and have taught me to love and respect the Earth through not eating animals, recycling, organic gardening, conserving resources and doing all I can on a daily basis to help reduce my impact,” she said.
Good to know she’s appreciative of mom and pop’s teachings now, but wonder if she rebelled with a cheese pizza in her youth like Joaquin did?

[…] According to the Vegetarian Star, Liberty did take a stab at acting back in the early 80s with flicks like Kate’s Secret and Seven Brides For Seven Brothers to her name. Obviously though, she’s found a calling in selling green products and we’re psyched that her store is doing well. To take a look at their online catalog, jump here. […]

Hiya,
I think it is wonderful that so many people are seeing that that the planet is in trouble and that we need to act now to help out. If we all made a small change then hopefully the state of the planet will improve. Father’s Day is nearly here and I really need to have a sit down and a think as to what I treats and surprises I can think of this year for Dad. I think we should also try and help the environment, the amount of cards which are not recycled on special occasions is shocking! Wrapping paper is also another item which many people just throw away which quite often can be recycled. In order to do my bit I have now decided to send eCards instead of traditional cards, no paper is being used, so this has to be good news. I have spent ages on the net trying to find a site that I liked, and then I came across a really cool Fathers Day environmentally friendly e-Card site that I really like. I found this site so easy to use and there always seems to be a lot of choice. Dad loves computers so a Father’s Day eCard is ideal. Let me know your thoughts on this, I quite like the idea as a way to help the environment.

Liberty is the reason my podcast, Women Of Green, exists. She took a deeply painful experience, the loss of her baby, and started a green business so no other mother would have to ever experience what she did. Listen to her unbelievably moving story right here on Women Of Green
