Goodnight Burbank is a web series that debuted in April and contains more potentially offensive stereotypes than we’d rather mention.

During one of its most recent episodes, the show featured an animal rights activist who took the fictional 10:00 PM newscast crew hostage and demanded they let her have a few minutes to read her demands about what animal lovers wanted.

Bollywood star Sonu Sood has bared his chest in a new pro-vegetarian ad for PETA India.

“I think we should bring that kind of awareness to everyone that we have to do something for animals – become vegetarians and do good to this Earth,” Sood said.

Weekday Vegetarian Book Graham Hill

How does Treehugger.com‘s founder do his part to help the environment even though he’s not a full time vegan? He simply eats a vegetarian diet for the majority of the week.

This “Weekday Vegetarian” plan was first discussed at a TED conference in February 2010 and now Graham Hill has written a book on it and published it exclusively to Amazon Kindle.

The American Humane Association is able to certify that Tai, the elephant star in the Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon film Water For Elephants, was not harmed during the movie.

But animal rights group Animal Defenders International says it has undercover video footage showing Tai and several other elephants suffering at the hands of trainers employed by the company that provides animals to film sets, Have Trunk Will Travel.

Florida Bill Banning Photographing Factory Farms Dies

In what will hopefully set a precedent to what will take place in states with similar pending legislation, a bill that would criminalize undercover investigators who obtain photographic evidence of animal cruelty on farms was not passed before the Florida legislative session ended.

Dubbed “gag-ag” bills, these attempts to silence what goes on in farms across the U.S. could cost human lives in addition to allowing animals to continue to be harmed.
