Quantcast Vegetarian StarNina Dobrev Vegetarian FAIL In Seventeen Fitness

Haven’t heard one of these stories in a few months, so here’s something to get angry about ’cause we know all vegetarians love hearing famous people talk about how the diet failed them.

Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev went vegetarian for a few months. Then she became weak, tired (yawn, how many times have you heard this line) and decided she needed beef.

“At the end of last year, I tried being a vegetarian for four months, and after awhile, I started feeling weak, like I needed more protein, more energy,” Dobrev told Seventeen for the first-ever fitness issue. “Then I read a review an episode of The Vampire Diaries online, and in it the writer mentioned that I was looking too thin. I was like, ‘Okay, maybe they’re right.’ It made me think: I need a burger — a beef burger, not a soy burger.”

We all know you don’t have to be a real vampire and suck on bloody, dead meat to get energy. That’s sooo 300 years ago vampire. The modern vampires of today realize calories are calories. If you aren’t getting enough and getting too skinny or feeling weak, you should add a side of edamame and tablespoon of almond butter to your veggie burger lunch to get more energy. Then pop a multi with B vitamins and you’ve got enough energy to jump high over trees, run fast and do whatever vampires and humans who portray them on screen with great special visual effects do.

At least Dobrev’s not bashing vegetarians after her FAIL.

“I have so much respect for vegetarians and I’m so glad I tried it, but it just didn’t work out for me.”

This is why so many people don’t like vegetarians – they bash people who aren’t vegetarians. How did she “fail?” She tried it and it didn’t work for her.
