Isabel Lucas may have two men to thank for her going vegetarian.

The actress stopped eating meat after watching Earthlings, a documentary narrated by Joaquin Phoenix at Red Hot Chili Peppers front man Anthony Kiedis‘ home.

“I don’t feel limited by not eating meat. I eat lots of veggies and pasta and nuts, tofu and soups,” she was quoted by Popsugar as saying.

Being the environmentalist she is (she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness of the lack of clean drinking water in many areas), it’s no surprise Isabel would take the natural step by not participating in something that largely involves the very earth unfriendly practice of factory farming.

“Looking after the environment and doing things in nature was really an integral part of my life growing up. I love the environment and I want to be able to protect it.”

Her experience was so bad, she had to Tweet about it.

And this establishment was one Kitchen Nightmare.

“Went to a depressing vegetarian-hating restaurant with bad wine in WINE country. No excuses. Wish I was Gordon Ramsay and could fix them.”

You tell ’em Olivia!

Chopard Flagship Boutique Launch in Hotel La Mamounia

In Gwyneth Paltrow‘s latest edition of her online newsletter Goop, she features celebrity chef Jamie Oliver as he shares his thoughts on eating, health related issues from bad food and the return of cooking and eating with the family.

Thought provoking points are brought in the conversation, such as sourcing better quality ingredients, knowing what’s in your food and how Oliver remains so cute despite all that hard work he does in the kitchen.

GOOP: What is it like being so brilliant and so cute all at the same time?

Jamie Oliver: Ahhh! Bless you Gwyneth. Well I at least try to be brilliant, and I was cute as a baby but I think those qualities are probably very debatable subjects these days!

For a recipe that won’t make you vomit like Paltrow’s sickening sweet comment, try Oliver’s Classic Spaghetti recipe at Goop.

There’s absolutely no jars of sauce involved as you create it fresh from scratch. Using diced tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil and other spices, you can use this recipe to create a meal that’s vegetarian/vegan without processed ingredients.

Plus, it makes an excellent, simple recipe to start with if you’re beginning to teach your kids how to cook something besides Pop Tarts.

To get the recipe, visit Goop. To watch Oliver be cute, tune into ABC on Fridays at 9PM for Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.

Janet Jackson & Malik Yoba Visit BET's 106 & Park

There was a lot of eating during the filming of Tyler Perry‘s latest film, Why Did I Get Married Too?

There was also a lot of eating off screen for star Janet Jackson, who plays the role of Patricia Agnew.

Between scenes Jackson hid in her trailer and munched on what she thinks is the best vegetarian food you can sink your teeth into in Atlanta, Georgia.

“I was really diving into my work. So it was about eating…in my trailer! And really focusing on the character, and trying to stay in character. And after, I was just so drained and so tired. And especially having to get up early the next morning, and do it all over again.

“There’s a restaurant called Veggieland in Atlanta, it’s very good,” Jackson told Long Island Press.

Wonder if Janet likes a side of Veggieland’s sweet potato fries with her veggie burger?
