Heather Mills Wants Anti-Veg Gordon Ramsay On Disability Show

National Television Awards 2010 - Arrivals

Heather Mills may have been booted from Dancing On Ice, but her reality TV career is far from over.

The vegan chef and entrepreneur has announced she’d like a reality TV show where celebrities experience living with disabilities, according to The Telegraph.

And she already has one person in mind for the cast lineup–the famous “There’s no bigger pain in the world than a vegetarian” Gordon Ramsay.

“If it’s Gordon Ramsay, shove him in a kitchen and see if he can cook for the restaurant if he’s blindfolded, and have him live like that for a week,” Heather said.

Oh, no. Hope Gordon doesn’t catch on fire cooking any numerous animals like chicken, lamb or even puffin.

Better yet, blindfold Gordon, make him cook for a week, then feed him fake versions of real meat to see if he notices a difference.

Once he’s exposed on television for loving the taste of faux chicken, beef and pork, he’ll be banned from making another rude, anti-vegetarian remark again.

Singer Leona Lewis spends a busy day in London promoting her new single 'I Got You'

Leona Lewis says seeing people wear fur makes her stomach churn.

“When I see people wearing fur it makes me so sick. Especially when I see young singers doing it – that sickens me.”

Being such an animal lover, you can imagine how she felt when stylists tried to throw animal attire on her for a photo shoot.

“When I rocked up to my first photo shoot they had feathers and fur there and everything in despise,” she said to Live magazine, according to Angry Ape. “I had to make it so clear that I just do not go there.”

Super Bowl Commercials PETA Approves (Video)

Written by Vegetarian Star on Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 in Animal Issues, Athletes-Games-Sports, Film & TV, Pop Culture, Videos.

This year’s Super Bowl featured a variety of commercials that focused on using animation and other technologies to replace the use of live animals that may otherwise be overworked and thrown into an unnatural environment.

PETA may have had their fornicate with vegetables Super Bowl ad banned, but they aren’t bitter about it, and give credit to some great animal friendly commercials, including this Whales of a Tale: Bridgestone video.

“Three friends. One animatronic whale. Millions of happy viewers. Bridgestone also gets extra kudos from us for recently banning the use of endangered animals in all of its commercials!”

Plus, there’s nothing more entertaining than a beaver than plays the fiddle in the Monster.com commerical, right?

Visit PETA to view the entire list of favorite animal friendly Superbowl commericals.

“Skinny Bitch” Rory Freedman On Drinking Milk

Written by Vegetarian Star on Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 in Authors, Food & Drink.

Gretchen Ryan's "Little Pretty" Exhibition Opening

Those darn humans!

They’re so slow to catch on.

Like when it comes to consuming milk, for example, every other animal is so ahead of the game.

Says Skinny Bitch co-author Rory Freedman:

“When we have babies, we breastfeed them, and then at a certain point, we stop. It is exactly the same for cows and every other mammal on the planet. They produce milk when they give birth, they feed their young, and then they stop. We are the only species on the planet that drinks the milk of another species. We are the only species on the planet that drinks milk as adults.”

Rory’s got her theories on why humans are getting slower and slower when it comes to mastering the task of removing lips from nipple juice.

“Because the multi-million dollar dairy industry has convinced us that we need milk for healthy bones,” she said, and gave evidence to the contrary.

“Yale researchers found that countries with the highest dairy and meat intakes also suffer the highest osteoporosis rates.”

Launch Party For The New T-Mobile G1

Brendan Benson of The Raconteurs says a vegetarian in his band won’t last very long.

According to Hitfix, when asked what the key to surviving on the road and not killing bandmates was, Benson answered, “I think there’s a combination of things. Humor would be key. If everyone has relatively the same sense of humor, then that helps. And things in common, like food, eating. If there’s one person who’s vegan, say, then that person might be alienated in my band (laughs)… Last night we went to this vegan restaurant because someone said it was great. It was okay, I think some of us would have preferred a steak.”

That’s quite contrast to some other bands, like Death Cab For Cutie, who, although only 2 members are vegetarian, all 4 eat veg on the road to make it easier on the herbivores.

Sporting News magazine is featuring one of NASCAR’s 50 Most Beautiful People, Leilani Munter.

Leilani is famous for her motto, “Never underestimate a vegetarian hippie chick with a racecar.”

Leilani set a goal to make what some would call one of the most environmentally unfriendly sports green.

Her goal is to power her racecar to speeds at 200mph with biofuel and take those dangerous curves on the track with recycled tires.

She’s placed recycling bins at the track and frequently speaks out about the benefits a vegetarian diet has on the environment.

She also maintains a blog containing earth friendly ideas and education.

Oh,  yeah, there’s also her racing history.

From Sporting News:

“Munter has been racing since 2001 and last year became the fourth woman in history to race in the then-Indy Pro Series, the development league of Indy-Car. Prior to running in the then-Indy Pro Series, she spent six years in stock car racing, earning 19 top-10 finishes and nine top-five finishes in 39 starts. In 2004, Munter also set the record at Texas Motor Speedway for the highest finish for a female driver at the 1.5-mile speedway with a fourth-place showing.”

Did you know she’s also a master at battling the chocolate war?

During an interview, Vegetarian Star learned she never craves sweets.

Now you really have a reason to be jealous.
